| Digital positioners, or valve controllers as the devices are also called, have been available since the 1990s. Over the past decades since then the devices have developed from simple to more intelligent, bringing users in different process industries various benefits and possibilities.
This presentation will cover the latest developments with the intelligent valve controllers. Topics such as online monitoring & diagnostics capabilities, energy consumption reduction and usability enhancements will be covered. Besides the control valve, also the ESD valve side of valve controllers will be briefly touched and plenty of time will be reserved for questions and discussion. |
| Presented by Mr. Juha Kivelä Mr. Juha Kivelä (M.Sc.), currently working as a senior global project sales manager at Valmet Flow Control, has roughly 15 years of experience of working with intelligent field devices. Mr. Kivela is currently based in Finland, but he has earlier worked several years also in the Middle East and has wide experience of working with the end users, EPCs and OEMs in the region.
